The Nevada Legislative Session lasts just 120 days and takes place every other year. The 2025 session began on Monday, February 3 and will end on Saturday, June 5.
Act4Kids Nevada envisions an equitable, accessible, and comprehensive healthcare system that serves every child’s physical and mental health needs. Our efforts during this legislative session are aimed at addressing roadblocks to this healthcare system. Youth and families are invited to join us in making an impact!
Legislation Watch & Updates
Act4Kids Nevada is tracking several bills closely which would enact policies that move our state closer to comprehensive healthcare for children. Red = bill died, no further action this session; green = bill signed into law by Governor; yellow = bill sent to Governor, pending action.

AB 106 – Ratifies the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact SB 82– Creates the Office of Early Childhood Services within the Office of the Governor SB 174 – Revises provisions relating to pupils with disabilities SB 228 – Appropriates money to establish a Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant Program SB 378 – Revises requirements governing the electronic maintenance, transmittal and exchange of health information (VETOED)

Civic participation is critical when it comes to healthcare policy. Youth and families are the experts in their lived experience, after all. It is easy to be informed and to participate at your comfort level.
Step 1: Create a free account with NELIS (Nevada Electronic Legislative Information System) • learn about the session, committees, and hearings • track up to 10 bills
Step 2: Choose bills that are important to you and make public comment • submit your support or opposition in NELIS under “Opinions” • email your story to the committee hearing the bill • attend a scheduled hearing in-person or online and provide testimony (generally 2 minutes)
